We walked into a dark room filled with children singing. The electricity was once again turned off and our eyes had to adjust to the darkness. Within seconds I could see the room was overflowing with joyful children, some sitting two to a seat and others standing. The center where our children meet is pricey and very small. It lacks windows, secure walls (currently made with tarp and tin) and the only source of light is one door.
We thank God for this place but have also been praying for a space that will accommodate our growing program. We welcome all children to our meetings and although they do not receive the additional benefits sponsorship provides they are welcome to gather with friends,sing,receive tutoring and learn the word of God.
Today we were excited to tour a space for rent in in Korah. The space has cement walls around it’s perimeter and a locked gate, therefore it would be a safe place for everyone to meet. It also has safe drinking water which will provide for the center and for our families. There is a large room to gather, two restrooms on the property, small offices for the staff, a space to prepare food, a room for our income generation program as well as some space to store product. We think it is wonderful!
